Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at these Adapter Rails for your 5th Wheel Hitch for your Ram Towing Prep Package. So this has been designed to fit your 2013 and newer Ram trucks with the factory-installed underbed towing prep package. This has a capacity of 25,000 pounds and a pin weight capacity of 6,250 pounds. Now, this custom base is going to let you attach any fifth wheel hitch with industry standard feet to your factory puck system on your Ram.
This modular system is easy to remove, giving you that full bed access again. So no tools are required. It's going to break down into four individual pieces. I was able to put this together pretty easily. Everything is held together by pins and clips.
So you're gonna get these two side pieces and then these two rails. Those are gonna be the four main pieces there. And then pins and clips to get everything pinned into place, and then the connection points here that'll drop down into the feet of the bed of your truck. So the mounting position here is going to center your hitch over the axle for better towing and handling. You are going to receive instructions to guide you through the pretty simple installation process.
And if you happen to have any other additional questions, don't hesitate to reach back out to us. We here at etrailer.com wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you want and need. I think it's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy.
Thank you for joining me.
Not OEM attachments. Instead of a puck that just fits thru the hole and lock in this system just has hollow pins that are supposed to hold the hitch down. I tow off road and have had my trailer try to lift my truck up. Those hollow pins don’t look like they will hold. Found another adaptor hitch that has a full size fitting to lock the hitch down.
Worked as described. I've used it once and look forward to more use. 2025 Ram 2500 w/Ram boxes so I need clearance. So far it seems to do the trick. ??
Condition: Missing Parts
Notes: Item is missing 1 large pin and 2 small clips. Item has also been previously test fitted and has minor cosmetic signs of install.

I totally get the concern David, especially if you’re towing off road. The pins you’re seeing mainly keep the adapter secured in place. The actual weight of the trailer is transferred through the steel posts into the factory Ram puck system, which is reinforced at the frame. The # PUL47FR is rated for up to 25,000 lbs when paired with a compatible hitch, so it’s built to handle serious loads.
